The latest Mind Window release will be in the Apple and Google Play stores over the next few days. This release has a slew of updates to make participating with the app more streamlined and reliable.
NEW
- Onboarding screens are now available for new users to help with the initial set-up – including notification permissions and alarm settings on Android.
- Some additional reminders were added into the tutorial about how to resolve delayed notifications on Android devices.
- An alert is now presented when leaving “Getting to Know You” screen, and optional surveys, with the number of questions remaining (if any).
- Check-Ins will now ‘expire’ if left unfinished for longer than 15 minutes. Additionally, if a new check-in notification is accepted while an older check-in was left to expire, the older one will be abandoned.
- Mind Window will now automatically advance to the check-in start when one becomes available and the Check-In screen is curently visible.
- A note was added to the free-response check-in screens as a reminder on how to hide the keyboard.
UPDATES/CHANGES
- Updated code to support current operating systems.
- Some UI changes with headers to make screens more consistent and optimize screen space.
- Trophy announcement windows were recoded so that they are more reliable.
- Users can now skip the periodic Autobiographical question.
- Some UI updates to better respect differences between device platforms.
- Mind Window now has better reporting of time zone related issues (including changes due to daylight savings).
FIXES
- Additional code was added to increase compatibility with graphics display on some Android devices.
- Increased compatibility with devices that would occaisionally report check-ins as unavailable.
- Fixed a bug that would cause Mind Window to crash when trying to access the optional questionnaires.
- Corrected an issue where Race/Ethnicity could be saved without a response.
- The popup for the ‘1-year’ trophy description now lists the correct title & description.
- Long titles in lists are now truncated on smaller devices rather than skipping to the next line and displaying erratically.
- Long trophy names, listed on the Home screen, no longer push subsequent text down the screen.
- A display artifact on the self/others check-in screen, visible on some smaller devices, was corrected.
- An issue that limited cursor movement on the “Affect” check-in screen, on some devices, was corrected.
- An issue where a plot on the Check-In screen would appear too large, on some devices, was corrected.
- Corrected a bug where notifications might get out of sync following time zone changes.
